Saved control preset crashes the Controls menu
A saved ACC control preset may be invalid when choosing it crashes the Controls menu. Compare it with the active controller configuration before a broader reset.
Checks and expected results
Before you repair it
- Record which preset and menu action fail and check for a matching Customs\Controls error.
- Close ACC and preserve the complete saved control-preset folder.
- Move the active preset folder aside for a clean-menu test without deleting the backup.
How to confirm the result
Reopen the Controls menu and test a newly created preset. Reintroduce saved presets individually only after checking they do not reproduce the failure.
Repair limits and when to stop
Saved presets will be temporarily unavailable. This does not prove the active controls.json is damaged or repair a wheel that Windows cannot detect.

ACC troubleshooting reports identify Customs\Controls as the saved preset location; PitMedic acts only when the implicated preset is named and moves it intact rather than deleting it.
