Simulator repair

RaceRoom Racing Experience

Browser cache / Error 503 / UI loading problem

RaceRoom’s embedded browser can fail while the simulator process is still running. A local BrowserData reset may help damaged browser state, but an HTTP 503 can also be a service-side failure.

Checks and expected results

Before you repair it

  • Record the exact browser error and whether the rest of RaceRoom remains responsive.
  • Check RaceRoom’s official service information before resetting local data for a 503.
  • If current evidence supports damaged local browser state, close RaceRoom and preserve BrowserData before clearing it.

How to confirm the result

Relaunch and revisit the same browser screen. If a service outage persists, a rebuilt local cache will not resolve it; retain the error and retry when the service is available.

Repair limits and when to stop

A BrowserData directory opened log line is normal. The 503 detector identifies a failure, not its root cause; cache clearing cannot repair RaceRoom’s servers.

How PitMedic recognizes it

RaceRoom reports Error 503, CEF/browser loading errors, or the browser UI fails while the game process remains otherwise functional.

Signals PitMedic may recognize

  • 503
  • BrowserData
  • CEF
  • browser cache

Built-in response

Back up and clear BrowserData cache/state so RaceRoom can rebuild its embedded browser data.

Normal initialization text is not a fault

Verified automated regression test · 2026-09-28

Test setup

Synthetic lines included Loading Video.VideoSettings profile, ShaderCache initialized successfully, and BrowserData directory opened.

Observed result

Those normal lines produced no fault match. A separate HTTP 503 Service Unavailable line remained detectable for RaceRoom.

What this establishes

This verifies log matching only. Recognizing a 503 does not prove that clearing local browser data will fix a server-side failure.
